What's happening in the Shed?
Wells-next-the-Sea Men's Shed
Following our recent General meeting on 20th March the 'Shedders' have decided to 'open for business', albeit in a limited way. Thanks to some enthusiastic shedders half the Portakabin has been renovated, kitted out and redecorated so it can be used. However, as we do not have electricity on the site it means just light woodworking projects can begin like the making of these (work in progress) planters for a lady in Wells: This is the type of community project the shedders are pleased to create. A big thank you to all those who have donated unwanted pallets etc which are already being recycled into various garden structures - planters, bird boxes, herb pots, bug hotels etc. By the way - keep the pallets and timber coming please.
To begin with we are opening from 10am till 4pm on the following Wednesdays - 27th March, 10th April and every Wednesday from 24th April. If demand is there we will extend the opening hours and days, so stay tuned. We have an inclusive membership policy so if you think this might be for you please feel free to visit us on one of these open days, or alternatively attend our meetings. We look forward to meeting you....

Peter U of Wells Men's Shed created these attractive Planters for the Wells Community Hospital from unwanted recycled pallets. Sam and her team at the Hospital have already put them to good use with a charming display of spring planting, they look smart Sam. Thanks Peter a great effort. Peter's planters on display outside the main entrance to the Wells Community Hospital and Sam and her team's lovely letter.
