The UK Mens Shed Association - We're UK Men's Sheds Association, the support body for Men's Sheds across the UK. We raise awareness of Men's Sheds and the life changing impact they can have. We support Men's Sheds to develop and thrive. We won't stop until every man who would benefit from a Men's Shed has access to one.
Our thanks to Stephen Hurley, Development Worker for Northern Locality, and his colleagues at Adult Social Services at Norfolk County Council for his, and his teams, guidance and support in helping start the Wells-Next-The-Sea Mens Shed.
A key partner, The Wells & Walsingham Light Railway have generously agreed to provide on site space, utilities and facilities for the Wells-next-the-Sea Men's Shed within the grounds of the Light Railway Station. Once developed this location will provide the ideal space going forward for the 'Shedders'. We look forward to working with the Management team.
A huge thank you to the Trustees, the General Manager Samantha Taylor, and her excellent team at the Wells Community Hospital for supporting the Mens Shed initiate. Also for the generous use of their on site facilities for our start up meetings. Although we have declined the offer of the use of the on site Garage as a Shed the offer was greatly appreciated by the Shedders.
The Wells-next-the-Sea Men's Shed would like to thank the following retailers and outlets for their generous donations of essentials in helping the Men's Shed get started. The 'Shedders' appreciate this help and look forward to working with the Wells Community going forward. In no particular order, a big thank you to Mr Cs, This'n'That, The Pound Rooms, Martins, David Jagger Pharmacy, Wells Co-op, Wells Library, Authur Howells Butchers and Kent Blaxill Fakenham. Other outlets and retails have expressed their desire to support the project with donations so more names will be added. Thank you again.
