What's happening in the Shed?
Wells-next-the-Sea Men's Shed
Funding for new facilities for the Junior School is always a challenge when trying to balance the budget, so the Wells Mens Shed was pleased to build and install an outdoor stage area for the children to do their performing arts. It was one of our larger projects and once again we used recycled materials throughout. Our friends at Ronseal provided our trademark green paint...

Over winter we have worked with our hosts - the Wells & Walsingham Light Railway on doing some essential maintenance on the historic Signal Box. Nowadays its an office, a shop and a cafe so it needs to be in good shape to serve the staff and public. Following some careful craftwork our Shedders have replaced a corner post which was in need of replacement. The corner post is an essential part of the supporting infrastructure and trying to get it completed in the closed season has been challenge due to all the wet weather this winter. Pleased to report, as you can see if the before and after photos it's looking much stronger now.... The Shed has managed to stay open despite the challenges of the weather and to help increase the local garden bird population we have busy making bird and bug boxes for Little Gillies nursery school and Alderman Peel High School over 20 in total including a Sparrow Terrace - the first we have built. Not they are all colour coded with their green roofs - the garden paint was kindly donated by Ronseal Here's the collection awaiting delivery:
