What's happening in the Shed?
Wells-next-the-Sea Men's Shed
They say a week in politics is a long time well try shedding! I have a few days away and it's all happening.
Following the AGM our committee was formed, a bank account opened, we have drawn up our Constitution, a Health & Safety Statement, a Code of Conduct, set up Membership Application Forms (Click here to redirect you to the Form), designed our Logo and organised a dedicated phone number (07486 524603) so things are progressing nicely. However the big news concerns the venue. The Wells Community Hospital very kindly offered the group their garage as a shed. Upon reflection the garage has limitations, particularly safe working space once equipment has been installed. So the committee has been researching alternatives. The result is a new venue has been identified and preliminary talks have taken place. Subject to the 'paperwork' the Wells-next-the-Sea Men's Shed will be erected on the site of the Wells & Walsingham Light Railway on the Stiffkey Road. More on this as talks progress. The Committee are now researching options for the Shed - Portacabin or 'Sea Container" or both? More on this later too. In the meantime a site survey is being arranged so we will know more then. So real progress is being made. If you'd like to know more please call our Membership Secretary on the phone on 07486 524603 or attend one of our meetings - all are welcome. Before signing off and on behalf of us Shedders can we sincerely thank Samantha Taylor and her team at the Wells Community Hospital for their continued support it's truly appreciated, the offer of your garage to get us started was very thoughtful. May we take this opportunity to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. thats all folks for now..... the Shedmaster
